This is the MKII version of Middy's incredibly popular Xtreme M1 pole, updated to have an improved action with even more stiffness and better balance too. Additionally, this MKII upgrade now features an S.I.C. puller slot on the second section. The M1 MKII is the perfect short super-strong 4m margin pole. It is constructed with G-Pulse Fighter-Carbon and is therefore light (weighing only 170g) and stiff, yet it possesses a massive world-strong 30 elastic rating. It's stronger than a beast and you really need to feel this pole to believe just how strong it is - it will handle margin monsters with ease. The M1 MKII is fully take-apart and breaks down into four sections, allowing total flexibility in the length-to-hand you to decide to fish at. It has an exceptional Slik-Slide finish to make shipping a dream. The butt section fits directly onto the fifth of the M2 or M3 models in this Xtreme MKII family - which means you could extend the length of the M1 if required, or use the M1 as a top-four kit on your M2 or M3 pole. This is also true if you want to fit this M1 MKII onto an original version M2 or M3, as this MKII range is built on the same mandrels as the original poles and thus backwards compatibility with all kits and sections is assured. This is great support from Middy for anyone who has an original M1, M2 or M3, as you'll be able to use your existing top kits with the new MKII range, or keep your original version pole for backup spares if you wish. The M1 is probably the strongest of the three models with slightly greater wall thickness and is therefore an ideal choice for margin work. The price point is ridiculously low for such a high quality construction pole.

This fully take-apart pole is super-strong for margin work. It is 5.12m long and weighs in at 660g. The 2nd section is pre-fitted with an SIC Smooth-Run Side slot system and it is rated to a massive 35 elastic rating. The tip is pre-bushed ready to go, it just needs the elastic setting-up. It is a beast of a tool that will not let you down and it represents excellent value. Utilizing the pulla slot means YOU are in total control of the fish.

Middy are the pioneers when it comes to designing rods for modern commercial fishery anglers. The original 3G rods, which were launched over ten years ago, were the first of their kind that were made in a fold-down two piece construction with a softer action to subdue carp to the net. In the interim years, carbon technology has advanced significantly, as we saw with Middy's 4G and 4GS updates, all of which won numerous awards for their quality in engineering. Now, with the assistance of some top anglers and technicians, Middy have progressed these rods a step further to release the new 5G range, which are built with Liquid Carbon, to provide a seamless action that has to be felt to be believed. Ideally, a perfect commercial waggler rod or feeder rod needs to be stiff enough for pin-point casting, strong enough to handle carp in the 10lb range, yet soft enough to avoid hook pulls. It also needs to be relatively short in length for ease of netting fish. All of these characteristics are incorporated in the 5G range, as well as many other unique design features. Built into every 5G rod is an A-Nomic handle grip, with the reel seat area specially curved to fit perfectly into the shape that your hand naturally makes when gripping a rod. These rods also have S.F.A. smooth flow guides, with K-style design guides on the feeder models, to stop line twist. An especially nice touch is the special woven carbon area just above the reel seat, to stiffen the rod when landing bigger carp. The 5G range not only includes six models for commercial fishing, but also a further two models that are more conventional, for use on rivers and gravel pits. Choose from the following; 11ft Pellet-Wag, suited for smaller floats up-in-the-water; 11ft Pellet-Wag Plus, for larger pellet style floats and a longer cast; 9ft Mini-Feeder, ideal for shorter chucks on snake style lakes; 10ft Method-Feeder, a great all-round commercial feeder rod for Method feeders up to 50g; 11ft Baggin-Feeder, for when a bit more oomph is required at medium to longer range and you want to step up to a 60g feeder; Distance-Feeder, which covers long cast feeder work up to 80g and can be used at either 8ft, 11ft7in, or 12ft7in, thus making it more like three rods in one; 13ft Trinity-Wag, a three piece rod for river work or more control over floats when fishing at distance; and the 12ft Trinity-Feeder, a three piece rod that's ideal for rivers or gravel pits, with the capacity for 80g chucks. Middy's flagship Reactacore XZ Ultra-Control 12'6" 3pc feeder rod is built using Quad four-layer carbon technology. Four individual layers of high modulas carbon are layered together at different unique angles to form one compounded sheet; providing excellent strength and rigidity, while also creating a crisp fast-taper and fast-response action that picks up line quickly at distance. The carbon itself undergoes a VC-X extreme pressure vacuum curing, to force out any tiny air imperfections - this also aids the strength of the rod and creates a real consistency in the action. The Reactacore XZ Ultra-Control feeder rod also benefits from special Maximus weave wrap joints; these prolonged-life joints increase the strength even further and enable a little less overlap, which in turn makes the rod super lightweight. Indeed, it has an exceptionally slim feather-light blank and handle, accompanied with top class fittings such as SCX smooth cast guides and hook retainer, an S-Line style ergonomic reel seat, as well as three motion-sensitive reactive carbon quiver tips.
