With the Caldia SW DAIWA offers an extra-strong and tough sea fishing reel for targeting cod, halibut, coalfish and pollack as well as for medium-heavy fishing for amberjack, mahi mahi etc.
The aluminum MQ body allows the application of a considerably larger gear, which displays an extraordinary retrieving power and durability. Due to the special large teeth at the Tough Digigear drive unit the power transmission is improved while the running smoothness and lifespan are markedly elevated. The Magsealed design at the shaft prevents the intrusion of saltwater and particles via the main axis and reduces the threat of corrosion. Together with the carbon fiber drag discs the ATD drag system cares for an even line release under load, a high drag power and a long lifespan. With extra-strong aluminum handle and extra-large T-Shape handle knob.

The multi-sectioned DAIWA Saltiga AP rods are designed for uncompromising application under harshest conditions in tropical and other big fish destinations. Closed lengths of 67cm to 78cm allow a straightforward transport in the luggage – expensive rod transportation tubes from now on belong to the past.
To ensure safe fishing for strong fighting target fishes like GT, Tuna, Cubera, Amberjack, Rooster & Co., the rod blank, reel seat, guides and spigot joints have to be of utmost high quality. HVF carbon fiber blanks with X45 technology are extremely durable and twist resistant – accurate casts and controlled lure presentation are possible every time. The backbone of the Saltiga rods offers huge power reserves to control large specimen during the fight and to lead them away from hazardous areas and reefs with completely closed drag. The tip action accelerates hardbaits to very good casting distances. Underwrapped Fuji SiC double leg K-guides resist even toughest strains. The V-Joint spigot joint connections are reinforced with a special BIAS carbon fiber material which leads to incredibly robust joints with a perfectly harmonic bending curve. The difference to a two-sectioned rod is hard to detect! Original Fuji reel seats with double screw secure heavy spinning reels permanently and prevent a loosening of the reel during the fight. Ergonomically shaped Hard-EVA handles are pleasant to grab, offer an optimal power transmission and prevent too quick exhaustion during fishing.
The three-sectioned model with a length of 1.70m has been developed for speed jigging in medium to large depths. The extremely stiff blank with a casting weight of 180-400g is perfectly balanced and offers huge power reserves for the fight.
Depending on the model these rods are also very well suited for fishing in Norway for cod, coalfish and halibut!

The special coating procedure prevents corrosion under the paint layer. Now in 2021, Certate SW continues that tradition, evolving Certate into a realm of its own. Now available up to an 18000-size, Certate is ready to tackle all species from fresh to salt across the globe. Replacing the long-standing Catalina, Certate SW shares it’s Monocoque (MQ) body with the famous 20 Saltiga. The single-piece body removes the requirement of a traditional side plate and screw system, replacing that with an engine plate that houses the incredibly large G1 Duralumin drive gear, also shared with the 20 Saltiga. This body & gear combination was what put 20 Saltiga on the map and is sure to set Certate SW right at the top of the tree when it comes to strength and power. Equipped with Daiwa’s ZAION rotor design, Certate SW is lightweight and strong. ZAION’s lightweight construction makes the rotation of Certate SW incredibly light & responsive and also delivers an end result of up to 40 grams of weight saving when compared to 20 SALTIGA. Certate SW comes equipped with a Magseal line roller and Magseal body, which combined with the MQ construction means that Certate SW is supremely well sealed to the elements, giving anglers the confidence that Certate SW will not let them down.
