The Super Hook falls under the A1 segment of Gamakatsu. This means that the hooks are pressed into their shape. This not only makes them 20% harder and 25% stronger, but also the point is unprecedentedly sharp. The hooks all have a flat shape rather than a round one. Extensive research has shown that this ‘flat forged’ shape is many times stronger than the old-fashioned round shape. The hook has a straight hook shank with a slightly inwardly bent hook point. The bend is kept wide so that it anchors very easily. Gamakatsu A1 hooks are produced in Japan under strict supervision and are therefore unique on the fishing market. Note: This is the PTFE coated version. This matt coating makes the hook shine less, and the surface is much smoother. The point pricks extra fast according to experts.
