The sea weights in this section are divided between lead with swivel and lead for cheparr. The two solutions are incorporated differently into the rig, so first determine the connection to the line and the task of gravity. Then adjust the mass to the depth, current, distance and allowable load of the fishing rod used. Each change must bring more control, necessary distance or reaching the bottom.

Lead for DROP SHOT Filstar is a cylindrical model with a nozzle and an eye, by which the distance to the bait is easily adjusted. The shape supports long-distance casting and reduces the risk of entanglement. The variants are 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 g, each in a set of 5 pieces, allowing step-change of the rig.

In the drop shot, start with the smallest mass, which gives clear contact and the necessary control under the specific conditions. Increase it if current or depth do not allow stable guidance, but watch how the cast and sensitivity change. Rolling positioning on the line is useful for adjusting the distance between the weight and the lure without new tying. Note which weight keeps the line manageable under similar conditions.

Wire lead is a choice for rig that requires such a connection point; the cheparje variant must correspond to the cheparje itself and its method of submission. Don't replace them mechanically just because of a similar weight. Check the ear, swivel or other connection, because different geometry changes how the weight moves and how the line is retracted. This is especially important when frequently harvested.

Before casting, compare the total mass of the rig with the markings on the fishing rod, including the weight and other load elements. The excess weight set makes it difficult to control and loads the tackle, and the too light weight may not hold the desired line. Make changes in just one step and try the behavior at a safe distance.

After contact with stones, inspect the surface and the connecting part for sharp edges, dissolving or strong deformation. A damaged eye can injure the line, and a blocked swivel loses its function. Arrange the different weights separately and mark them clearly to change quickly when changing the current without disassembling more than necessary.

When arranging the rig for salt water, compare the weight required and the way of keeping in Sea fishing, and for other situations, review and Weights. If your next step is jig rigging, consider the weight selected with the baits and heads in Silicone lures and jigheads for sea fishing.
