The finished sea hook saves the small work of rig, but its choice still requires attention. The section collects assist hooks and pre-bound patterns, including barb hooks. The important thing is to distinguish the construction and its place in the tackle before looking at the numbering or the pack quantity. This is especially convenient when you have to change a damaged leader without a long tying in place.

Pri LINKED KOOKS OWNER – RL9330 – RED sizes are No 6, No 8 and No 10. In No 6, the leader is the 0.30 mm with specified 8.20 kg durability and the kit contains the 9 number. The smaller No 8 and No 10 are tied with 0.25 mm fishing line, labeled 5.80 kg.

The difference between the last two sizes is in the number of hooks: nine at No 8 and ten at No 10. This allows you to compare not just the numbers, but the entire ready configuration. Choose the size relative to the bait and the presentation sought, and the thickness of the leader relative to the remaining line and the expected load. This is essential when changing bait on the fly.

For rig from the shore measure the finished leader and assess whether it fits the chosen line, weight and cast way. When fishing from a boat, inspect the connection to the main rig and let the bait work freely. Ready-tying facilitates preparation, but does not override the verification of the entire tackle and the point at which the leader joins. When changing the weight, repeat the test stretch, because the load is transmitted through the finished node to the entire working section.

Before the first release, stretch each leader slightly, inspect the knot and check the hook tip. If the fishing line is folded from storage, do not mask it with an additional knot. Separate the damaged set. When changing size, compare the diameter, because equally stacked packets may contain a different strength bond.

After a sea outing, do not leave the used hooks mixed with the unused ones. Separate the wet mounts, remove the salt, dry them and examine the barb, tip and leader. For the next exit arrange the dimensions in separate compartments with clearly visible markings; so when changing you keep the logic of the rig and do not reach for an inappropriate number in a hurry.

When you want to compare the finished tying to the choice of a separate hook, open for sea fishing hooks, and for the same approach outside of sea fishing, review Bound hooks. If you're arranging the whole set according to technique, Sea fishing is the natural next direction from which to match the remaining accessories.
