Available variants include No 1, No 2, No 3, No 10 and No 12. Match the size to the volume of the bait, the diameter of the leader and the freedom needed for the rig. Do not arrange the variants only by the number of an eye; compare the actual curve and length of the stem, because the number itself does not describe the whole shape. Check how much room is left for reliable bait placement.

barb-free hooks are appropriate when the rules or preferred way of release require it; fish retention then depends more on constant contact. The triple variant serves bait with more points of hooking, and the offset form has a different rig logic. Don't switch one type with another without going over the entire system.

When looking for hooks to fish for a float, watch the bait stand in the water and whether the chosen leader allows a natural feed. In artificial baits, check the position relative to the housing and rings to avoid blocked movement. In all cases, the knot should lie down clean, without twisting or a bruised line.
