Don't take the larger hook as automatically more secure. Compare the number with the bait volume, the leader and the expected load, then check if the bayonet holds the bait correctly selected. The finished leader saves tying by the water, but still requires a view of the knot, fishing line and tip before the first cast.

Assist BKK Thunderbolt+ hooks are created for micro jigging in fresh and salt water and come pre-tied with a strong, flexible nylon core. Bright Tin coating is aimed at resistance against corrosion in a salty environment, and the tip is shaped for good boreage. The sizes from SS to XL provide a basis for matching the jig used.

The two solutions serve a different logic. In feeder, a whole ready leader is selected according to the bait and load; In the case of micro jiggling, the assist hook must match the jiggling and the way of keeping. Don't replace one type with another just because the size looks close: the shape, tying and purpose of the rig are different.

After saltwater fishing, rinse and dry the used hooks, despite the protective coating. In all variants, check the sharpness, deformities and connection status, especially after a tease or heavy load. Keep the finished leaders separate so they don't get tangled up, and replace a damaged component instead of relying on it on the next time you pass.
