The 26 Tournament Basia Surf 45 SCW QD model offers numerous newly developed features that provide a range of benefits, especially for long-distance surfcasting.
The new Airdrive rotor, made from the lightweight, torsion-resistant Zaion material, has been completely redesigned. Combined with the new, wider spool, it provides excellent sensitivity and comfort during operation. Thanks to the spool being approximately 10% wider than that of the previous model, 98 cm of line is retrieved with one turn of the handle, despite the relatively low gear ratio of just 4.1:1. This reduces the risk of the fish coming off, especially when using smaller hooks and lighter rigs retrieved from a great distance.

The large, CNC-machined Tough Digigear gear provides excellent power transmission, while the torsion-resistant body, made from lightweight Zaion material, ensures the stability of the internal mechanism.

The special Slow Cross Wrap line-lay system ensures optimal line distribution on the spool, reducing resistance during casting and contributing to increased casting distance.

The 26 Tournament Basia Surf 45 QD is equipped with a shallow spool with a capacity of 300 m / 0.18 mm, which is ideal for use with thin braided lines. A spare spool with a capacity of 300 m / 0.35 mm monofilament line is also included.

The Magsealed construction reliably prevents salt water and dust particles from entering through the main shaft, providing optimal protection against corrosion.

The hollow Airdrive bail ensures optimal balance, while, in combination with the Twistbuster III line roller, it provides perfect line distribution on the LC Long Cast spool.

The spool lip has also been redesigned to create even less resistance during casting.

The 26 Tournament Basia Surf 45 SCW QD offers the latest technologies from DAIWA and excellent reliability when fishing in salt water.
