Thanks to Airdrive Design, the new TDR is lighter and more precise compared to the previous version. The Airdrive rotor takes care of the increased power during fish removal, thereby reducing the risk of unwanted detaching.

The biggel has Airdrive technology and together with the extremely light spool and the new rotor lead to reduced weight of the pulley in the front of the housing, thus making improves balance, and castings become more precise.
The aluminum body of the HardbodyZ reel takes care of the warp-resistant housing, and ToughDigigear gear provides increased traction power.

The enlarged gears of the drive unit additionally lead to smooth running and optimal power transmission especially useful when heavy baskets have to be pulled from great distances and depths.

The aluminum spool Longcast ABS features a special edge, which reduces friction and contributes to achieving greater distances.

The Twistbuster III design of the fishing line roll at the bigeel is designed so as not to corrode or injure the woven fishing lines, thereby preventing them from twisting or undesired damage.

The reel is equipped with a folding handle and the unique Daiwa – Hip Clip, another helper in the daily life of the modern fisherman.
