J-Braid GRAND X8 is the upgraded version of the world-famous J-Braid X8. This version was created to give anglers an even greater advantage when fighting strong and large fish. What has actually been optimized in the GRAND version? It is absolutely universal for use in fresh and salt water. Compared with J-Braid, the GRAND version has a denser strand weave. This is achieved through an additional process during braided line production. The increased braid density provides higher abrasion resistance, greater linear strength and stronger knot strength. In addition, GRAND is more flexible, making it quieter as it passes through the rod guides, while slightly stiffer than standard J-Braid, which reduces line twist and improves casting.
