Product information

The multi-section DAIWA Saltiga Air Portable rods are designed for uncompromising use in the harshest conditions in tropical and other marine destinations inhabited by trophy specimens. Transport lengths from 67 cm to 78 cm allow easy transport in your luggage - expensive rod tubes are now a thing of the past.
To ensure safe fishing for powerful fish such as GT, tuna, Cubera, Amberjack, Rooster & Co, the rod blanks, reel seat, guides, and spigot must be of exceptionally high quality. HVF carbon fiber blanks with X45 technology are extremely durable and resistant to twisting - accurate casts and controlled lure presentation are possible every time.
The backbone of the Saltiga rods offers enormous power reserves, ensuring full control when fishing for large specimens - essential when you need to keep fish away from underwater obstacles. The fast tip action accelerates hard lures to very good casting distances, allowing a larger area to be covered. K-shaped Fuji SiC double-leg guides withstand even the strongest loads.
V-Joint spigots are reinforced with a special BIAS carbon fiber material, resulting in incredibly strong joints with an ideal, harmonious bending curve. The difference from two-section rods is difficult to detect!
Original Fuji reel seats with double locking screws prevent the reel from loosening during the fight. Ergonomically shaped handles made of Hard-EVA material provide a very comfortable grip, offer optimal power transmission, and prevent overly rapid fatigue during fishing.
The three-section 1.70 m model was developed for fast jigging at medium to great depths. The extremely stiff blank with a 180-400g actionr is perfectly balanced and offers enormous power reserves during the fight.
Depending on the model, these rods are very suitable for fishing for cod and halibut in Norway!
