Product information

The DAIWA Pro Staff series was created in close cooperation with DAIWA-sponsored anglers - Nils Gabsa, Marten Laciny, Adrian Prus, Sebastian Bischof, Horst Hennings, Tim Jaschke and Marcel Asbroek.
The experts spent many hours on the water during development, testing numerous prototypes until perfect specialized rods were constructed! The action of the blanks, the components and technologies used, and design details such as handle length were specially designed for experts in perch/zander fishing, vertical fishing, pelagic fishing or pike fishing with large lures. To meet the needs of our sponsored anglers, many of DAIWA's best technologies were incorporated.
HVF Nanoplus carbon fiber material allows the construction of very light, slim, fast and - at the same time - extremely elastic blanks. Thanks to the addition of nanoparticles, the already small amount of resin has been reduced even further. The blanks have become even faster and lighter!
The X45 carbon fiber construction results in improved blank compression thanks to the special positioning of the carbon fibers - the blanks are highly resistant to twisting, allow more precise casts and can be controlled perfectly during the fight and lure presentation. In addition, the rods gain greater resistance to damage. V-Joint technology means an exclusively developed BIAS layer of carbon fibers in the spigot joints, produced by DAIWA. This special material makes this normally sensitive part of the rod very strong while also improving the bend curve.
We paid particular attention to the rod's balance - the handle design, the selection of premium, very lightweight Fuji Alconite K guides and the materials used together provide the rods with a perfect feel and allow comfortable fishing for hours.
The three Pro Staff Baitcast models were developed jointly with DAIWA team angler Gunnar Schade and cover two important areas of modern BaitCast fishing. The rod with a 5-18g casting weight is perfect for fishing with smaller lures, but is also strong enough to handle jig fishing with soft lures. It is equipped with a slim one-piece EVA handle and an ergonomic DAIWA Air Sensor BaitCast reel seat.
The 2.25 m model with a 14-42 g casting weight was extensively tested with all types of soft lures and medium-sized crankbaits - its casting performance and lure control are flawless! During the testing phase, this rod was also successfully used for twitchbait fishing, as well as with spinners and chatterbaits. Equipped with a two-piece EVA handle and an ergonomic Fuji ACS BaitCast reel seat.
The Pro Staff Zander BaitCast rod (11322-247) features an exceptional DAIWA Air Sensor Baitcast reel seat and, thanks to its length of 2.40 m, is perfect for casting soft lures up to 56 g over long distances and for aggressive jigging. It is also suitable for use with larger hard lures or heavier Chutterbaits.
