Maggot fishmeal is one of our most popular groundbaits. We knew that maggots are one of the best baits ever, so we wanted to use their fish-catching ability in groundbait form. Fishing maggots hatch from the bluebottle fly (Calliphora vomitoria), whose aroma was used in creating Maggot Fishmeal. A unique blend of crushed pellets, fishmeal, breadcrumb, meat extracts and cereals, designed for all types of larger fish, especially carp, F1, bream, tench and large roach.
Mixing instructions:
Maggot Fishmeal is easy to mix. Empty the 2 kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a container with approximately 1 litre of water, pour it over the groundbait and mix well, then leave it to stand for 30 minutes while the water is absorbed into the mix. For best results, to remove any lumps and create an even consistency, pass the groundbait through a sieve and it is ready to use.
When fishing, sun and wind can dry the groundbait slightly. To prevent this, you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel, or if it dries out, simply add a little more water with a spray bottle and mix again.
